The World Subnationals and Nations provides an appealing compensation package including competitive pay and benefits.

First, it is important to recognize that as part of the WSANDN program to end global poverty we adopted the international minimum wage of US$24 per hour. Based on the WSANDN System, this applies to all participating agencies and organizations of the WSANDN globally. It implies that irrespective of your location, and job description, you are guaranteed of earning nothing less than the minimum wage, so you can work confidently.

Salaries for internationally recruited staff in the Professional and higher categories are determined based on the highest paying national civil service. Locally recruited staff members receive compensation in line with the most favorable conditions of service offered by other employers in the area.

PROFESSIONAL AND HIGH CATEGORIES 

In the Professional and higher categories, recruitment is typically done on an international level. Your salary will be based on a worldwide scale and will take into consideration factors such as your dependents and the cost of living at your local area.

Your net base salary is the main component of your remuneration. It is supplemented by a post adjustment, which is a variable non-pensionable element. The purpose of the post adjustment is to equalize the purchasing power of WSANDN officials in different locations around the world with those in Washington the base city. The post adjustment is expressed as a percentage of the net base salary and may vary from month to month.

Other advantages
As a member of the WSANDN staff, you may also qualify for additional perks and benefits, such as:

1. Rental subsidy: If your rent constitutes a significant portion of your net remuneration, you may be eligible for a rental subsidy under specific circumstances.

2. Dependency allowances: If you have a spouse and/or children who meet the eligibility criteria, you may receive dependency allowances.

3. Education grant: If your children are enrolled in school and meet the necessary requirements, you may be entitled to an education grant.

4. Travel and shipping expenses: When you are relocating from one local office  to another, you may receive assistance with travel and shipping expenses.

5. Settling-in allowance: To help cover initial extraordinary costs associated with arriving at or moving to a new local office , you may receive a settling-in allowance.

6. Hardship allowance and non-family service allowance: In certain local office  with challenging living and working conditions or restrictions on bringing family members, you may receive a hardship allowance and a non-family service allowance, respectively.

7. Danger pay and rest and recuperation break: If you are serving in particularly hazardous, stressful, and difficult locations, you may be eligible for danger pay and a rest and recuperation break.

8. Repatriation grant: If applicable, you may receive a repatriation grant.

9. Mobility incentive: You may be eligible for a mobility incentive.

10. Holidays and leave: Depending on your contract type, you will have between 18 to 30 days of vacation per year. Additionally, the World Subnationals and Nations observes 10 paid holidays per year, which vary by local office.

11. Home leave travel: Depending on your assigned local office , you may qualify for home leave travel to maintain social, cultural, and family connections in your home country. The frequency of this benefit will depend on your local office .

12. Health insurance: You will have the opportunity to participate in one of the World Subnationals and Nations-sponsored medical insurance plans, with monthly premiums shared between yourself and the organization.

13. Retirement pension: If you have a six-month appointment or complete six months of uninterrupted service, you will become a participant in the World Subnationals and Nations Staff Pension Fund. A compulsory contribution will be deducted from your monthly salary.

Staff members in these categories are typically hired and compensated locally. Your salary will be based on a local salary scale, which is periodically reviewed to ensure it aligns with the best employment conditions in the area.

Tax exemption
Salaries, grants, and allowances provided by the World Subnationals and Nations are generally exempt from income tax.

Allowances and benefits
You may be eligible for various allowances and benefits, such as a child allowance, spouse allowance, secondary dependent allowance, language allowance, and danger pay, if applicable.

Holidays and leave
Depending on your contract, you will have between 18 to 30 days of vacation per year. Additionally, the World Subnationals and Nations observe 10 paid holidays per year, which may vary depending on your local office.

Health insurance
You will have the opportunity to participate in one of the World Subnationals and Nations-sponsored medical insurance plans. The monthly premiums will be shared between you and the organization.

Retirement pension
If you have a six-month appointment or complete six months of uninterrupted service, you will become a participant in the World Subnationals and Nations Staff Pension Fund. A mandatory contribution will be deducted from your monthly salary.

NATIONAL PROFESSİONAL OFFERS

National Professional Officers are staff members who are locally recruited and compensated. Salaries are determined based on local salary scales, which are periodically reviewed to ensure they are in line with the best prevailing employment conditions in the area.

Salaries, grants, and allowances provided by the World Subnationals and Nations are typically exempt from income tax.

Allowances and benefits
In addition to salary, you may receive various allowances and benefits such as child allowance, spouse allowance, secondary dependent allowance, and danger pay where applicable.

Holidays and leave
Depending on your contract, you will have between 18 to 30 days of vacation per year. The World Subnationals and Nations also observe 10 paid holidays annually, which may vary from local office  to local office.

Medical coverage
You have the opportunity to enroll in a medical insurance plan sponsored by the World Subnationals and Nations. The monthly premiums are split between you and the World Subnationals and Nations.

Pension plan
Upon reaching six months of service or completing six months without a break, you will be enrolled in the World Subnationals and Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. A mandatory contribution will be taken from your monthly salary.

FEILD SERVICE 

In the Field Service category, staff members of the World Subnationals and Nations are compensated through a combination of a base salary and post adjustment. The base salary is an annual net amount, while the post adjustment is a variable element that aims to equalize the purchasing power of staff members in different locations around the world with those in Washington, the base city. The post adjustment is expressed as a percentage of the net base salary and is added to it.

Additional benefits and perks You may also qualify for extra benefits and perks such as:
