Africa: Addressing the underlying causes of conflicts, diseases, poverty, and insecurity.
How WSandN is addressing Issues in Africa
In Africa, there are numerous issues that require a focused approach towards prevention and emergency intervention. By addressing the underlying causes of conflicts, diseases, poverty, and insecurity, we collectively work towards ensuring the safety of all medicines and creating a more stable environment.
Conflict and insecurity are significant concerns in many African countries and the world at large. Through the Security Assembly the WsandN essentially understand the root causes of these conflicts and implement strategies to prevent their escalation. By promoting peaceful resolutions, fostering dialogue, and supporting governance reforms, we lay the groundwork for stability and progress as we aim to eliminate violence and bloodshed which usually plague conflict resolutions globally. The Security Assembly is responsible for the formulation of effective security measures at subnational, national and regional levels necessary to combat terrorism, organized crime syndicates, piracy threats along coastal regions while safeguarding human rights in collaboration with governments, local and international organizations.
Disease outbreaks pose a severe threat to public health in Africa. The International Organisation For Health (INOFH) emphasize on preventive measures which centers on investigating the actual root causes of diseases, sensitization campaigns, access to healthcare services, and disease surveillance to help curb the spread of infectious diseases. Additionally, investing in research and development for new treatments and safe/effective medications can contribute to long-term solutions.
Poverty remains one of the most pressing challenges facing Africa and other continents of the world. The Economic Assembly of the WsandN brings forth Economic empowerment programs that focus on skill development, job creation, access to finance, and entrepreneurship opportunities to help uplift individuals, families and communities out of poverty, fostering economic growth and stability. Education initiatives also play a crucial role in equipping individuals with knowledge and skills for better livelihoods and for widespread economic empowerment.
The WSandN approach is the same. It is Preventive and Interventive, thoroughly investigating root causes of each problem and bringing safest solutions for the benefit of all. Environmental Challenges exacerbates existing problems such as food insecurity due to droughts or flooding events leading to displacement or conflict over resources. Thoroughly investigating root cause of climate change and adapting strategies to curb them will ultimately benefit vulnerable communities across Africa and the world.
